Our Impact
Impact in Action.
Every donation. Every volunteer hour. Every community partner. Every referring agency.
Together, they create meaningful change.
Since opening our doors, Anney’s Closet has supported over a thousand women and families as they transition into new homes ~ offering not just essential household items, but also a sense of dignity, stability, and fresh possibilities.
We’re here because our community cares ~ and that care creates impact that ripples out in every direction.
Anney’s Closet & the SDG’s
Anney’s Closet Society aligns its work with three of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Primarily SDG 1: No Poverty, SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, and SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production. Achieved through initiatives focused on providing essential household goods and furniture to those in need, and promoting responsible consumption and production practices.
-
Anney’s Closet Society directly addresses material poverty by providing household goods and furniture to individuals and families who cannot afford it, helping them establish stable and comfortable homes. This is particularly impactful for those transitioning out of homelessness, fleeing domestic violence, aging out of foster care, or arriving as refugees.
-
By supporting housing stability and community integration, Anney’s Closet Society contributes to more sustainable and inclusive cities and communities.
-
Anney’s Closet Society’s core mission of addressing material poverty and the redistribution of household goods and furniture reduces waste and conserves resources, promoting a circular economy and responsible consumption patterns. The diversion of goods from landfills contributes to environmental sustainability.
