Westshore U-Lock Mini Storage, where Anney’s Closet operates from at 1621 Island Hwy in Victoria, has gifted partial storage space to Anney’s Closet since the beginning.
Foster’s Moving & Storage provide in-kind donations of pick up and delivery services. An immense contribution to Anney’s Closet!
Just Junk Victoria keeps Anney’s Closet in mind when receiving junk removal requests. Any furniture or items in good condition are repurposed to a new family-in-need and reducing landfill waste.
United Way grant funding has been instrumental in the growth of Anney’s Closet, allowing us the resources to purchase essential items.
The generous grant from the Social Planning and Research Council of BC has been outstanding in providing new items for our shoppers’ kitchens, and New Beginnings Baskets,
Soroptimist International of Victoria Westshore started Anney’s Closet in 2013. Their steadfast volunteerism and leadership grew Anney’s Closet to what it is today.
Soap for Hope provides our shoppers with re-purposed linens, personal hygiene kits and other products as and when they are available.

Since opening our doors, Anney’s Closet has supported over a thousand women and families as they transition into new homes ~ offering not just essential household items, but also a sense of dignity, stability, and fresh possibilities. In 2024 we experienced a 66% growth over the previous year.
